Are you stuck in “prep mode”?
Here’s what happens: You’ve got a goal. Maybe it’s meal prepping consistently without feeling overwhelmed.
So what do you do? You start planning.
Maybe you spend some time googling, making a list, downloading a tracker, and shopping for a new high-speed blender or glass containers.
(All of those things are great, btw.)
👉But there’s a problem: they won’t help you reach your goals.
While planning can help you feel productive…
It does absolutely NOTHING when it comes to actually moving you forward.
Even more insidious: making a plan keeps you safe, much safer than taking that first step.
Because when you’re planning, you can’t fail.
And some people spend so much time “planning” that they never end up taking real action!
A lot more people get stuck here than you can imagine.
Here are a few examples:
👉 Spending 5 minutes stretching or walking will do more for your health than spending an hour searching for the 'perfect' mobility app
👉 Throwing together a 10-minute breakfast will help more than scrolling Pinterest for meal prep inspo
👉 Doing a workout today in the leggings you already own will move the needle more than waiting for your new gear to arrive
If this sounds all too familiar, I have a little homework assignment for you:
Just START.
Pick one thing and do it!
You can always adjust later…
But right now, your ONLY job is to break the cycle of overthinking (or procrastination!).
And if you’d like help building a routine that actually fits your life, your energy, and your goals that doesn’t just look good on paper... I’ve got you.
“I wish I had waited to get started,” said no one ever.
