I Turned a Big Mac Into Dinner

I have a weakness for a good burger, but I don't always want the bun, the fries, and the food coma that can come with it.
So I made the lazy-girl version: a Big Mac Bowl.
It's got the good stuff: seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, pickles, onion, tomatoes, and a ridiculously easy burger sauce. You can add crispy potatoes if you want the full burger-and-fries experience.
The best part? It takes about 15 minutes and doesn't require a pile of ingredients or any fancy cooking skills.
Fit With Deb’s Big Mac Bowl
For 2 servings:
1 lb ground beef
4 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
½ cup diced pickles
¼ cup diced onion
½ cup chopped tomatoes
1 avocado, optional
Burger sauce:
3 Tbsp avocado-oil mayo
1 Tbsp ketchup (no added sugar)
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 Tbsp pickle juice
Brown the ground beef in a skillet and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. While it's cooking, chop your vegetables and stir together the sauce.
Divide the lettuce between two bowls and top with the beef, pickles, onion, tomatoes and avocado. Drizzle with the sauce.
Want the "fries" too? Add crispy roasted or air-fried potatoes on top.
That's it.
This is exactly the kind of meal I want you to have in your back pocket: fast, filling, packed with protein, easy to throw together, and actually something you're excited to eat.
Healthy eating doesn't have to look like a sad piece of chicken and steamed broccoli. Sometimes it looks like a Big Mac in a bowl.
